Artwork guide

Dielines and artwork guide

Set up your artwork once and get it right first time. Here are the sizes, the rules, and the easiest route: the 3D studio draws the exact die-cut line for you.

How it works

Four steps to an approved proof

  1. Choose your product and size

Pick a mylar bag, sticker, jar label or tuck box. The size tables below show every size.

  2. Design in the 3D studio

The studio shows your design on the real product and draws the die-cut line for you. Prefer your own software? Use the sizes below.

  3. Upload at 300 DPI with 3 mm bleed

Send PNG, JPG, SVG or PDF files at 300 DPI. Extend your background 3 mm past the cut line.

  4. Approve your proof

We send a proof within 1 working day of receiving your artwork. The artwork cut-off is 3 pm. Dispatch is 5 to 7 working days after you approve.

Sizes by product

These sizes come from the live product pages. Set up your artwork at the final size shown, with a 3 mm bleed on every edge.

Artwork rules

  • File types: PNG, JPG, SVG or PDF, at 300 DPI at the final size. Use SVG or PDF for logos so lines stay sharp.
  • Bleed: extend backgrounds and edge-to-edge artwork 3 mm past the cut line, so no white edge shows after cutting.
  • Safe zone: keep text and logos at least 2 mm inside the cut line.
  • Colour: set up your files in CMYK. Very bright screen colours can look different in print, which is one reason we send a proof.
  • Fonts: convert text to outlines, or embed the fonts in your PDF, so nothing changes when we open the file.
  • Minimum text size: 6 pt at the final size. Smaller text can be hard to read once printed.
  • Barcodes: print them in solid black on a plain white background, keep clear space around them, and do not stretch or recolour them. Keep them off folds, seams and zips.

The 3D studio

The studio draws the die-cut line for you

You do not need to draw a die-cut line. When you upload a logo in the 3D studio, it generates the exact cut line for the size and shape you choose and shows the result on the product.

The studio uses a 3 mm bleed and a 2 mm safe zone, the same rules as above. You still get a proof within 1 working day of artwork.
